About Pearlena J. Sylvester

Mrs. Sylvester started her accounting career with the Accounting Firm of Touché Ross and Thorburn, Jamaica in 1989 after completing a course in Business Administration (Accounting). She later relocated to Grenada, where she spent the next twenty-three years with PKF Accountants and Business Advisers serving as Senior Audit Partner for seven of those years.

Mrs. Sylvester joins HLB Grenada with over thirty (30) years’ experience in directing multiple audits for clients in the financial, hospitality, manufacturing, construction, utilities, and retail industries and statutory bodies. She also provides several advisory service engagements such as internal audit, preparation of financial reports, policies, procedure manuals, valuations and business plans.

Mrs. Sylvester underwent training in Corporate Governance, Enterprise Risk Management, IT security awareness and audit, International Standards on Auditing (ISA), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) fraud detection and internal investigations. She is currently pursuing a Forensic Public Accountant Certification and serves as director on two boards.

Ms. Francis brings to HLB Grenada some forty-four (44) years’ experience in internal and external auditing. As Audit Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers and then PKF Accountants and Business Advisers, she has audited and provided advisory services to a diverse group of companies including Commercial and Development banks, Credit Unions, Utility Companies, Building and Loan Association and Mutual Banks as well as wholesale and Retail and Insurance Companies.

Hyacinth Jeremiah

Managing Partner

Mr. Jeremiah is a forensic accountant with over thirty-two (32) years experience in assurance, tax, fraud investigation and consultancy services. He started his accounting career at a young age moving through the ranks from an audit trainee to Audit Manager. In January 2011 he started his own practice, Jeremiah Business Consulting, before joining the HLB network in June 2020.
